Project Consultants Needed

We need your help with expanding resources for faith-based units, updating our committee’s technology for AI interactions, building YouTube tutorials, and so much more. Do you have 90 days where you could help us with a project? This would be a build it on your own schedule, not a “please join our committee” ask.

We will give you the concept, scope, and review things as often as you want help, and you bring your talents to the project. But if you want to join our committee, we are always looking for people to join us longer term as well (we can walk you through that approval process).

Awards & Emblems/Literature Development & Review– Lead by Jason Noland

• Spanish Translators: By 2030, 25% of the USA will only speak Spanish. We are looking for Spanish Translators willing to work with faith groups to translate their workbooks and materials.
• AI Schema: Looking for coders willing to work with faith groups to add Schema in their website coding for AI to scrape correct information.
• Customizable Flyers: Create flyers for religious emblems classes that can easily be customized by local faith groups to showcase their class details.
• Digitizing Classes: Looking for someone to help create PowerPoints and other Zoom tools for faith groups that want to launch virtual versions of their programs.

Membership & Council Resources– Lead by Clarence Crayton & Jim Marchbank

• University of Scouting Classes: Take existing faith group presentations and building them into U of S modules ready for councils to teach. And/or recording presentations that can be uploaded to YouTube for individual learners.
• Scouts Read Sacred Text Event: People to help promote across the country.
• Unit Leader Recruiting Tools: Looking for resources to help unit leaders market faith-based units to secular families.

National Training, Meetings, and Events– Lead by Susan Lawyer

• Physical Event Techies: Sign up for specific in-person events such as the 2027 Religious Relationships Week at PTC. You serve on that event’s committee as a in-person techie for the event technology itself. You are a part of the National Training, Meetings, and Events Sub-Committee. You are expected to attend the event planning meetings.
• Training Promoters: Promote Religious Training Courses & Conferences that are happening around the country. If they are for your faith group, feel free to staff the events if asked.

Virtual Events & Social Media– Lead by Amanda Vogt

• Facebook Moderator: Requires sporadic monitoring of posts (no specific time requirement). Create posts for the national Facebook page. Check to see if faith groups’ pages/groups have made any recent posts and if they have been cross-posted to our page. Can be as time consuming as you want. You will be given a rule book to follow.
• Territory Facebook Posters: Requires 1-2 hours per month. Need knowledge of how to post on Facebook groups and pages. Volunteer will be sent posts to make each month on councils in their territory.
• Pinterest Posters: Requires 1-2 hours per month. Need knowledge of how to post on Pinterest. Volunteer will be given access to the national account to make boards and pins on faith-based Scouting ideas, religious emblems, events, etc. You will be given a rule book to follow.
• Instagram Posters: Requires 1-2 hours per month. Need knowledge of how to post on Instagram. Volunteer will be given access to the national account to make posts on faith-based Scouting ideas, religious emblems, events, etc. You will be given a rule book to follow.
• WordPress Moderator/Content Creators: Requires 1-2 hours a month. Sub-Committee Chairs will send you articles to create/post. Feel free to draft your own articles (for review before posting).
• Local Event Photographer: Take photos at local events in your area that have a faith-based aspect to them (services, faith hikes, emblem classes, etc.). Submit the photos to our Sub-Committee with a short event description for utilizing in posts. Make sure you have permission of any youth in the photos.
• Video Library: Collecting existing videos to post in rotation to social media, writing scripts and recording new videos, editing raw videos, etc. Ultimate goal is a huge library of video/blog content to post with multiple people working together.
