Engaging High School Scouts & Venturers in Duty to God

For high school Scouts BSA members, Venturing Crews, Sea Scouts, and Senior Patrol Leaders, camporee worship services need to do more than just check a box. Older youth face complex social pressures, ethical gray areas, and a digital culture that constantly demands public validation and viral approval.

They don’t need a passive, cookie-cutter service—they need a space that challenges them to live out their values with quiet confidence, moral courage, and strategic purpose.

To help districts and councils deliver high-impact, youth-led worship tailored for older youth, the National Religious Relationships Committee is excited to release our newest downloadable camporee package: “Operation: Kingdom Agent – Faith Undercover & Unashamed.”

What Makes “Operation: Kingdom Agent” Different?

Designed specifically around the thrill of secret agents and covert operations, this worship service connects modern espionage to actual undercover operatives in Scripture—from Rahab hiding spies on the roof of Jericho to the early disciples lowering the Apostle Paul down a city wall in a laundry basket in the dead of night.

The service tackles a core challenge for modern youth: doing the right thing in a cynical world without needing social media applause or public recognition.

Like our previous packages, this resource is 100% turn-key and editable. Any adult Scouter or Youth Chaplain Aide can pick up this document and lead a smooth, inspiring Protestant service—no formal seminary background or chaplain training required!

What’s Inside the Resource Package?

Inside the downloadable package, you’ll find everything needed to execute a seamless, youth-led service:

  • 📄 Master Leader Copy: A step-by-step master script containing all liturgical transitions (“Briefings 01 through 05”), opening/closing prayers, full song lyrics, and leader cues.
  • ✂️ Printable Youth Reader Cards: Ready-to-cut script cards for 6 youth readers featuring scripture recon readings from Joshua, 2 Corinthians, Acts, and Matthew.
  • 🎭 Interactive Skit (“The Damascus Drop”): A fast-paced, 4-person skit using minimal props (lashings, rope, laundry basket, and staff) that brings ancient escape tactics directly into a conversation about modern Scout values and social media.
  • ⏱️ 5-Minute Deep-Dive Sermon: A high-impact message titled “Agents of Grace: Operating Behind Enemy Lines,” challenging youth to be “wise as serpents and innocent as doves” as they navigate school, online group chats, and peer pressure.
  • 🎵 Modern & Classic Worship Music: Features lyrics to Martin Luther’s classic anthem “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” alongside Chris Tomlin’s modern hit “Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)”.
  • 💬 Optional Older Youth Discussion Guide: An extra 10-minute floor discussion module built specifically for Venturing Crews and high school youth to reflect on standing up for their beliefs under peer pressure.
  • 📖 Audience Printable Program: A ready-to-print, 2-page program layout for all congregation members.
