Territory Liaison Program

A Membership Liaison will represent the  National Religious Relationships Committee and will serve as a  resource for a  National Service Territory Membership Lead  and their Council Membership Committees  to enable better connection/communication with current and potential faith-based Charter Partners; to increase membership and grow Scouting.

Goals of this position include: Increasing membership to grow Scouting; establishing a relationship with NST Membership Leads and the Councils they serve; and facilitating communication/connection with current and potential faith-based charter partners.

First Contact Goals:

• Introduce Religious Relationships Membership Liaison to NST Membership Lead
• Respond to Inquiries
• Listen to Council Needs (wanting to create new relationships or strengthen existing relationships)
• Review the List of Faith Contacts with Council
  • Help Research New Faith Contacts
  • Should respond back within 7-10 days
• Connect Religious Organization Head with the Council Membership Lead via setting up contact phone calls, emails, Zoom meetings, etc.
• Leave the Membership Lead to meet the needs of their new Faith Organization Contact

Follow Up Goals:

The liaison will do a health check with both the Council Membership Lead and the Religious Organization Contact in 3-4 weeks, and call on other members of the Religious Relationship Committee for help if needed.
